A multi-disciplined distance runner who began racing at the age of four years old. With over 26 years of running he has ventured through and remains competitive on a world class level in many aspects of the sport: Mountain, Ultra, Trail, Track, Road, XC, and specifically the Marathon distance.
Having lived in six different countries through childhood, running always served as an important connection to new places and new friends. Upon graduating from the University of Houston where he ran track and cross country he moved back to his native country of Canada and found rejuvenation and new motivation on the mountain trails and qualified for the Canadian Mountain Running Team competing at the IAAF World Championships in Poland in 2013 and also requalifying for the team in 2014.
Now living back in Houston, Calum continues to race on the trails but has changed gears back to the roads and track, recently running 2:22 at the 2015 Houston Marathon. When not training around Houston’s Bayou trails or pushing his daughter in the stroller (together they have run 15:47 for the 5k) you can find him at the 2015 Paris and Toronto Marathon’s and is also returning North American Champion in the Wings for Life World Run and will be racing in Turkey for this years ultra race.
